Point-and-Chat Mail (plus IM)

Integration Kit for DynaVox Series 4

PLEASE NOTE: There are currently two different Point-and-Chat programs that can run on your computer: instant messaging (IM) and email (Mail). If you want to control ONLY IM from your DV4, you should use a different Integration Kit designed for that programs.

This Integration Kit is especially designed to control either Point-and-Chat Mail by itself or BOTH Point-and-Chat Mail and Point-and-Chat Instant Messaging.

If you have trouble viewing the pdf file in your browser, first make sure that you are using the most current version of Adobe Reader -- and the most current version of your browser. If you still have trouble, right mouse-click on the pdf file, then save it to your computer (using for example the "Save Target As" command), then open the pdf file that is now on your computer.

Download the zip folder DV4-Mail.zip. Then extract ("unzip") it.

You can use Windows Explorer to find the downloaded "DV4-Mail.zip". Then right click on "DV4-Mail.zip". Then from the pop-up menu choose "Extract All" files.

Import four files from the extracted DV4-Mail folder into the DynaVox Series 4 device.

The unzipped folder named "DV4-Mail" will contain four files: "PnC-40-C.epg", "PnC-40-C-Serial.epg", "go-to-chat-page.jpg", and "go-to-mail.jpg". These four files must be imported into the DynaVox Series 4 device according to the General Instructions.

The "PnC-40-C.epg" file and the "PnC-40C-Serial.epg" file are Control Pages that let the DynaVox Series 4 device send commands to Point-and-Chat. The file to use will depend upon the computer that is running Point-and-Read. The "go-to-chat-page.jpg" and "go-to-mail.jpg" files are images you can use for the "Go To" buttons that will navigate to the Control Page being used.
