What’s with the cats?

During the Golden Age of Piracy, merchant and navy ships regularly kept cats and dogs to control the mice and rats that lived on board every ship. One would expect pirate ships to do the same.

So ... when ye be thinkin’ o’ dispatchin’ a bunch o’ bilge rats – which is what the Buccaneers Riposte is all about -- ye be needing Pirate Cats.

Don’t forget. The scourge o’ the seas for most sailors was the cat o’ nine tails. The bite o’ THAT cat was more afeared than Blackbeard.
